This Saturday, Extinction Rebellion blocked an important road in The Hague to demand the Dutch government stops throwing money at the fossil fuel industry. No less than 768 protesters were arrested. Fun times!
Excellent post and you're right: Think Globally, Act Locally.
The first thing we did when moving into our home was install a low energy heat pump which adequately heats our home on $3-4 of electricity/day. Next we turned a bunch of useless yard into a home garden and a pollinator garden. Then we used The Friends of Trees to get 8 new trees planted around our .22 acres.
Our neighbors maybe dumb diesel truck driving clowns but at least we're doing our part.
