The elbow thing is horrible. I found that knitting “continental style”, holding the yarn in my left hand rather than my right helped because my arms move less. But I did get frustrated about how slooooooooow it felt to change the way I knit. I think it took 3 years to get back to my previous pace.
I’ve just taught myself continental and I think I might be doing something wrong because now I’m having this issue. The purls especially cause me to make an unnatural movement with the left arm. So I went back to the old way so I can give that elbow a rest and let the right arm do most of the work.
