When I started cartooning, it was mostly about all the crazy that comes with parenting small kids. Here’s an oldie I made back then:
I remember during that time some (in my eyes) old people (they were probably 44) telling me to “enjoy it while it lasts!” And I would think, what should I enjoy? The endless sleepless nights?
Not being able to get anything done during the day?
Or the constant fights?
All of this to say…
My oldest is graduating high school this year and I figure I probably have plenty of time to be a whiny old fart later. And if not, then I certainly should spend my time dancing in the hallway with my favorite people at 8AM.
Pausing paid subscriptions to make way for my graphic novel.
I’ve paused paid subscriptions for the time being1 It doesn’t necessarily mean I will post less, but at this point, I’m just not sure what the next months will look like as I’m in the middle of delivering something new:
My graphic novel is in it’s very last stages and I need a break to figure out what’s next! It will come out in June and of course I do plan to post about it here once I find the time and headspace, so stay tuned.
As always, hit the reply button or comment below if you have anything you would like to say or ask. I always love to hear from you.
With love,
If you have a paid subscription, it means you’re not being billed until I turn it on again. If you pay annually, you’ll keep the remaining months for later.
Dance parties are good. Also I like your comics, very relatable (especially the early ones as that’s the stage we’re in).
Dag Betje, je boek ziet er prachtig uit! En de strips erboven heel grappig en herkenbaar. Ik zou toch denk ik het vieze mes in mijn hand hebben gehouden tijdens het dansje, zonder er wat bij te zeggen? Groet Marjon
