Zero wasted time climate action.

We booked our 2024 family vacation and wanted travel insurance. I didn’t get it directly with the insurance company but on a website that helps you find and compare options. While I was on the phone with them to discuss something else, I thought, why not throw this in there as well?

I think most people don’t want an insurance that invests in projects that wreck the planet, but if they don’t know which ones do, how are they going to chose a good one?

I know that the person on the phone is probably not making the decisions. Very likely, he’s required to respond like this to every suggestion. And I still think this matters, because…

• Maybe he will do as he said and discuss it.

• Maybe I’m not the first person who said this and now they’re really going to help more people find sustainable insurance.

• Maybe this person I spoke to will feel inspired to speak up about sustainability wherever he shops.

• Maybe you will read this and think: ‘hey, that’s something I can do!’.

• Even if none of these ‘maybe’s’ happen, speaking up is something you get more comfortable with as you practice. For me, this was an opportunity to do that with nothing at stake.
