There’s a lot to be said about COP28, the climate conference this year held in Dubai. I feel even more apprehensive than last year, when I wrote this:
Still, I’m excited that I was able to contribute again, in my own small way, by having some comics on display! I like to think of them as seeds that can spark a thought or a conversation… where better to sprinkle them but there?
The comic wall is made by the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre, and filled with cartoons by Ham Khan and Eugenia Rojo, Pat Byrnes and others.
Here are the ones on display by me:
The unprecedented is the new normal.
No more maybe’s, it’s a fact, it’s us and it’s bad.
We need to reimagine how we work together
Not just our climate is confronting crisis.
Let’s take early action.
How are you feeling about this year’s COP? Is it on your mind at all, with all that is happening right now?
With love,
Congrats on getting your comics up on the display. COP 28 this year has been problematic to say the least, but thankfully there's artists like you there to keep pushing the truth.
It's easy to deny that God exists, but not so climate change.
