Something strange happened last week, an email I had published a month before was sent out again. So sorry about that! I have no idea how it could have happened, because I have been looking at my list of scheduled posts a lot recently.
Which brings me to the next point! I’ve been working on a story. It’s about how I went from someone who was afraid to speak up about environmental issues to someone who got herself arrested protesting fossil subsidies. It now looks like this:
Sidenote: I used the book Save the Cat! writes a novel by Jessica Brody to create this outline and I highly recommend it, if you want to better understand storytelling.
Apart from my own experiences around climate activism, I plan to sprinkle in information about climate change, what it means and what you can do about it. The point is, we shouldn’t just talk about the scary facts, but also about how it makes us feel and what a struggle it can be to change our behaviours.
The first act (in yellow) is already turned into pages and scheduled to sent in the next couple of weeks. I plan to keep posting them for free. However, if you think this is a cool project, I appreciate your support. You can do that by sharing my posts and/or becoming a paid subscriber for $5 a month or $50 a year.
As a paid subscriber, you will get extra behind the scenes info, and you can weigh in on some decisions. Even though I’m not sure if this will ever become a book, I do want to treat it as one. Having a title helps to find focus and a cover makes me more excited to work on it. (And just maaaaaybe I’ll pitch it here and there…)
I have some ideas and would love to know what you think!
