The perks and challenges of aging

Today, it’s my birthday! Want to know how old I am now?

I don’t mind it though, aging comes with its advantages.

Of course not everything gets better…

… but at least my eyes are still fine.

As I grow older, I’m learning that it’s best to accept that things don’t always go my way.

Like for instance at our home, we have this situation involving the dishes.

Do I know that it would be healthier for me to just peacefully take care of those plates? I do!

Do I still rage and yell when I find dirty dishes stacked on top of an empty dish washer - again? Absolutely! Knowing things doesn’t really change one’s temperament, is what I’ve found.

So I made this cartoon, printed it (regretted I got rid of my nifty laminator machine) put it in an ugly plastic folder and stuck that on top of the dish washer.

Since it’s my birthday, I made a printable version too, for you to download.

I’m not giving any guarantees, after years of trying all kinds of things, I’m confident that it most likely won’t work.

But at least you’ll know you’re not alone.
