Dropped seeds…

While I was watching blue tits, coal tits, sparrows and even a goldfinch devour the sunflower seeds, it occurred to me that I didn’t really want to draw. These last few weeks, I’ve just been grinding at whatever I had planned… I wasn’t surprising myself at all!

So, I decided to put my work aside and draw about the birds. I tried different brushes, other ways to use color. It was fun.

The birds have made a mess of my front yard by now, probably dropping seeds everywhere. I’m pretty sure I’ll see a lot of sunflowers next year, who knows where! I can’t wait to see what that leads to.
