A Road Trip Travelogue
Two weeks ago, we rented a car, packed a few bags and left for a family road trip. We passed through seven countries and stayed overnight in three of them. I wasn’t sure if I’d manage to make a travelogue, but I packed my iPad hoping I would. I managed to make quite a few sketches that I’m finishing now.
I thought I’d share them day by day along with some thoughts and tips on how to make a travelogue. It will be as if you’re going on the trip with me! These posts will be for paid subscribers, but you can take a free trail.
OR, if you don’t want the emails, I’m planning to make a PDF booklet that will be available during my crowdfunding campaign!
Here’s the first one.
I heard myself say the first line of this comic: ‘before I leave, I like to have my whole life in order’ and thought that was funny because it’s true and a bit ridiculous. When I think about how to turn that into a comic, I draw from my experiences, but allow myself some liberties. I didn’t actually take out the sewing machine this time, but it’s absolutely something I have done in the past. It makes for a better example than, f.i. clipping all the browning leaves off my houseplants, so I went with that.
I hope you enjoyed this and will join me for the ride!
With love,
